A Church Where Jesus is Lord!
Biblical Authority of Deacons—Acts 6:1-7 (KJV), “And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. The twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Where, brethren, look among you for seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
ESSENTIAL TOOLS FOR DEACONS:
FAITH— Taking God at His Word.
PRAYER— Prayer is an absolute must for man’s ability to communicate with God. Daily conversations with the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name ensures the will of God is accomplished in this world.
HOLY BIBLE— The Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God.
HYMNAL—Music sets the atmosphere for Worship. A Deacon should know songs of praise, worship, deliverance, and restoration.
